Gladys V. Pelker

	Gladys V. Pelker, 70, of Tamaroa, passed away at 6:18 p.m. Sunday, August 13, 2000 at the Pinckneyville Community Hospital.
	Gladys had been a billing clerk for the Tamaroa Water Dept.  She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Pinckneyville.  She was also a member of the Tamaroa American Legion Auxiliary and the Tamaroa Birthday Club.
	She was born April 15, 1930 at Rock Falls, IL, the daughter of Oliver Edward and Myrtle (Jausel) Nehrkorn.  She married Paul J. Pelker on September 16, 1950 at Pinckneyville and he passed away on January 14, 1989.
	She is survived by two sons, Larry Pelker and wife Lynlea of Waterloo and Roger Pelker and wife Cheryl of Tamaroa; one daughter, shirley Duane and husband Steve of Florence, KY; one daughter-in-law, Cheryl Pelker of DuQuoin; one sister, Lucille Valentine and husband Kenneth of Tamaroa; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
	She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one son, Douglas and one brother, Kenneth Nehrkorn.
	Funeral services were Thursday, August 17 at 10 a.m. at the Zion Lutheran Church in Pinckneyville with Rev. Russ Helbig officiating.
	Friends were able to call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa and at the church from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Thursday.
	Interment was in the Tamaroa Cemetery.
	Friends may make memorials to the American Diabetes Association or to Perry County Home Health.
